Do you love the feel of a handmade notebook in your hands? Have you always wanted to learn how to make one yourself? Join us for this wonderful evening of creation with Tripti Prasad of Parakram Bindery!
In this 3-hour workshop, you'll learn how to construct a beautiful notebook using the double needle Coptic stitch method. This technique creates a book that lies completely flat when opened, making it perfect for sketching, journaling, or taking notes.
Have your choice in beautiful Japanese Linen Cardstock as the base, and pick your favourite Chiyogami paper to cover your new handcrafted journal. Luscious, vibrantly-coloured Chiyogami papers are hand-printed using the silk-screen technique. In this laborious process each colour is applied using a separate screen. Sometimes as many as 12 colours, including gold or other metallics, may be used to create a single pattern!
No prior bookbinding experience is required, so whether you're a seasoned artist or a curious beginner, you'll find this workshop both challenging and rewarding. Discover the joy of handmade bookbinding. Space is limited, so sign up today!
