Shoji Natural Roll

This machine-made paper is the same as Usu Kuchi Heavy sheets. As it is very absorbant, it is great for large scale dyeing, suminagashi, and printmaking, along with being used for traditional shoji screens. 

Shoji paper is an iconic element of Japanese architecture and design, featured on screens and windows throughout Japanese homes and temples. Its primary function is to diffuse light, provide privacy, and contribute to the warm, calming aesthetic that defines Japanese interiors.

Please note that this paper has been dried on an iron surface and so may have small iron spots appear over time.
