Do you love the feel of a handmade notebook in your hands? Have you always wanted to learn how to make one yourself? Join us for this wonderful evening of creation with with Natalie Sidorenko, longtime Paper Place team member and bookbinder!
In this 2-hour workshop, you'll learn how to construct a beautiful 20 page notebook using the 5-hole pamphlet stitch method. Along with creating a simple signature, you will also learn how to create a pleated closure to secure your new notebook in.
Have your choice in vibrant Indian Marbled Paper to cover your new handcrafted journal. These 100% cotton papers are hand-marbled by skilled artisans, resulting in a beautifully unique sheet every time!
No prior bookbinding experience is required, so whether you're a seasoned artist or a curious beginner, you'll find this workshop both challenging and rewarding. Discover the joy of handmade bookbinding. Space is limited, so sign up today!
Each participant will receive:
10 sheets of text weight paper
1 sheet of marbled paper
1 bone folder
1 awl
1 bookbinding needle
1 yard of wax linen thread
1 flat brush
Additional materials such as rulers and glue will be available for use during the workshop. Participants will also be able to shop in store up until 6:30pm should they wish.
WORKSHOP CANCELLATION POLICY
Payment is required upon registration for all workshops to guarantee a space. Withdrawal is allowed up to three days before the workshop. As we have to confirm numbers with the instructor and prepare materials, there are no refunds after that time.
